The key to a successful garden design is the trust and confidence built up between client and designer

Society of Garden Designers Website 2012

Welcome to my portfolio pages. For me the key to developing a good design is to be responsive and considerate not only to the homeowner or guardian of the space but to the specific site including the buildings and environment beyond. As you will see I do not follow one particular style, but listen carefully to your needs and aspirations and endeavor to respond sympathetically to each unique site presented to me.

Throughout my designs you will see that I try to carefully integrate structural elements into the landscapes that are also in keeping with the vernacular of the surrounding buildings; one way to achieve this is to use local materials where feasible. These structural elements can also be integrated without the use of hard materials, such as the use of key feature plants, trees and hedging. I create simple, functional and I hope emotionally uplifting places that enhance my clients’ lives and homes and that will continue to be enjoyed for years to come.

Here are a selection of just some of the many gardens completed over the last 15 years.
